It started with my parents dragging me to 8 am art class every weekend, mostly to keep me off the TV. Turns out the punishment worked a little too well: the distraction became years of quiet mentorship, each teacher nudging how I saw things without me noticing. Sketching wasn't special. It was just the language every notebook doodler already spoke. Design school gave that obsession direction. Everything since has just been refining and building. And I'm not only a sketcher, but I'm also drawn to materials, electronics, and the quiet value of things made by hand, rooted in the fabrics and craft I grew up around.
